## Fixes to what rc9 shipped

- **Upkeep no longer drops quotes.** Daily upkeep promoted a rewritten page
without comparing it with the page it replaced; replaying real extraction
notes, one page went from twelve quotes to none and lost its First contact.
Upkeep now carries the old page through promotion like enrich and muse do,
asks for every dropped quote and source back, puts back what a repair could
not, and refuses a gutted page. A First contact marked "(earliest mail
  found)" is put back too.
- **Pronoun repair only touches the owner.** rc9's repair replaced a pronoun
whenever the nearest name before it was the owner, so "the user was her
direct manager" became "the user was the user's direct manager". It now
rewrites only he, his and she, never her or him, and never the form a page
uses for its own subject. It misses more and invents nothing.
- **A Facts line a turn left out comes back** from the page before, into its
  own field.

## Project pages

Project pages get their own quote round, carrying the whole first-write
material so the claim audit can check what they cite. It adds the owner's
missing decisions from the oldest messages, and development leads the page;
outreach is one line.

## Deepen picks better

`co rem deepen` weighs the activity behind a page above how empty the page is,
so a nearly empty page about someone who sent five mails no longer outranks
people who write far more often. Organisations whose people are all automated
or one-way (notification and registration senders) are not deepened, and a
slot starts no new page after `limits.depth_slot_minutes` (60).

## The reader in Chinese

`co rem translate --all --to zh` backfills Chinese page content once; the daily
run keeps it current, translating the pages it changed, up to ten a day. In
中文 mode every view reads the cached Chinese, and a page without a
translation shows its English with a small "原文". Quotes stay in the language
they were written in; the check before a translation is cached compares their
words, not their punctuation.

## Verification and limits

- Every change merged with all CI checks green; the upkeep and pronoun fixes
were measured by replaying real extraction notes on notebook copies, three
  reruns per arm.
- The known issues in the [1.9.3rc9 notes](1.9.3rc9.md) (a transient Gmail SSL
error stops init until rerun, the first-run estimate is about half the real
figure, organisation pages are the slow tail) still apply.
