## The first source map is visible

After a metadata-only `co rem init`, the reader now leads with the number of
mapped records, says that no investigated memories have been written, and
offers a People view and an investigation-queue preview. It explains why
possible contacts held for review do not appear in the People roster. This map
is a starting point, not a source-backed finding.

The People table keeps **Last contact** readable beside the sticky Name column
on a phone even with hundreds of rows. Mapped contact dates are labelled as
map-derived in the roster and person view. The Full memory Facts wording points
to the same map date without implying it is missing from the note.

## Correct dates across a person's addresses

A fresh map now stores the earliest and latest mail dates across every address
grouped into one person. In a private ten-year metadata-only recheck, the old
map had 21 discrepancies among 574 comparable visible mapped contacts; the
fresh map had none across the map row, page, census/index, and reader display.
Existing notebooks retain their old map until `co rem init` is rerun with the
desired source and history range. Installing this preview does not rewrite
their source data.

## Opening a large map

The reader no longer infers prose relationships from every mapped-only stub.
It keeps explicit Markdown links and continues to infer relationships on
investigated pages. On one machine, a private notebook with 613 People, 30
Projects, and 144 Organisations took about 3 seconds to render instead of
about 99 seconds with the previous reader. The output remains a private 0600
file. Notebooks with many written pages can still take about 49 seconds to
render; that is tracked in #2214.

Local verification included focused unit and browser tests plus 13 installed
wheel tests. An independent AI role-based founder/marketing/UI review opened
actual desktop and phone pages, the 575-row People table, mapped records, one
investigated person, source dialogs, and privacy states. No human founder
participated. This is sampled coverage, not an all-page or source-entailment
audit. The historical people
batch and its token budget remain draft work in #2198 and #2209.

## In this preview

- #2205: keep the mobile Last contact heading visible on a large roster.
- #2210: show the completed map, next action, and held-contact count.
